Hello! We live in Lancaster County, Pa. I was so glad to see you help standard poodles in need of rescue. We recently lost our "Grand Dame" of our house when our 11 1/2 year old silver standard, Zoie passed away suddenly. We have had 3 dogs pass in less than a year. Two were standards. We are currently looking for an adult standard. We no longer want a puppy and have considered contacting breeders in PA about adopting an older standard. We have a lead on a standard boy whose owner/breeder passed suddenly and hope to hear soon if we can have him. Again, thank you for taking Spoos that need homes!! Bless you!

Hello,
We are Dave & Vicky St. John. We had a male, apricot standard poodle a long time ago when we were both still working. We found that we did not have the time for him then and felt it was unfair to leave him kenneled all day while we went to work. He was a beautiful, loving dog who needed more than we could give him at the time. We were able to have a friend give him a new home when he was about 9 months old. He now lives on a farm with another Standard Poodle and has a wonderful life. We retired in 2013 and moved to Tenneesee on a lake near Knoxville. We are now ready to have a dog complete our family. We remember how our dog loved to go out on the water and swim. Now we have the perfect place for a dog.
We are looking to purchase a puppy in 2016 and have been reading about your farm. We would like to learn more about your operation and possibly get on a list for your 2016 litter. We would also hope to be able to visit your farm sometime this year. If we had a choice we would prefer a red or apricot female but know that the temperament, personality and health are the most important qualities in a new puppy.
Looking forward to hearing from you and possibly being able to meet you. Please feel free to call or email anytime.

My husband & I are looking right now for the next puppy we would want to get. We currently have an 11 year old sable german shepherd. We also had a black german shepherd and we lost her at 10 1/2. I did train her for schutzhund but never had any titles put on her but I did get her CGC. We are looking for a larger dog that is bright and intelligent plus I'm now working for my aunt who has Ahlzeimer's and I would like to train the puppy as a therapy dog. Would you please add us to your waiting list? My preference would be a black female.. We are not interested in breeding and have always had our animals fixed. Also if it's not a bother at some time we would like to visit your facility.

Hi - I have been looking for a breeder for some time now for my next dog which will be a standard poodle. At first I thought I wanted a "red" poodle but now have decided temperament, intelligence and health rank higher than color. I am looking to purchase a pup next spring (2016) as we are living in temporary quarters right now while building a new house. The house will be complete late winter 2015 or early January 2016. Seems like a perfect time to add a new baby to our home. When do you add me to your waiting list?

Amy, I love looking at your site. We have been so blessed by Penny's presence in our lives. As you know she was the 'youngest' of our three dogs and one-by-one she has become the only one left. She loves her cat brothers and is always ready to go. She went on her first long road trip this past weekend and 'met' her 'cousin' in NC. Any worries I had that they wouldn't get along were dashed as Jo and Penny took off running like they'd planned this visit. Again, thank you so much for Penny - Destiny's 2012 litter.

Hi I like your website. I also like that you raise them in your home and not in a kennel. I was just looking at the standard poodle I don't know a lot about the poodle breed but just started reading about them. I have two English bulldog and they have so many health issues like allergies among other things, don't get me wrong I love them to death! I just know my next dog will be a healthier breed. Maybe we will meet one day if I decided on one of your puppies. Do you ever have black nd white? Thanks for your time, Sheila

I HIGHLY recommend Amy and her diligent work @ O'Kaylyn Farms. She strives and succeeds to breed only the highest quality Standard Poodles. Their health and well-being are paramount in her EVERY decision. Even allowing 21 puppies to be born and raised in HER living room. These puppies are truly loved and cared for until the day they go to live in their forever homes. Afterwards, Amy is always available to answer questions for those of us not familiar with the SP breed. YOU WILL NOT FIND A MORE CARING AND COMPETENT BREEDER OF STANDARD POODLES THIS SIDE OF THEE MISSISSIPPI :)

I just wanted to let you know I enjoyed your website! We have an 18 month old standard that we are obsesses with! Our kids always wanted a labrador until they got to know our 'Drizzle'. Now they both say they are getting Standard's when they are able to get their own dog. There is no smarter, sweeter and fun dog than a Standard Poodle. She is our 'third child'! She travels great and loves everyone - but her family most of all! Thanks for sharing your sweet dogs on the internet!

I have raised and showen everything from basset hounds to miniature pinchers and over the past 17 years did rehab work with wolves for the release in montana. My last wolf passed away two weeks ago at the age of 13 1/2 Beretta was a wonderful magestic animal which gave us as much love as we gave her, wolves are not pets and I told my beloved that once Beretta was gone I wanted a Standard Poodle to share my home with not a wild animal that could not and would not share our home. We live in the Hill Country of Texas and I would like to know more about your treasured ones. I am heart broken over the loss of our old girl but also look forward to a new beginning with a familly member that can enjoy going boating with us and having a nightly walk with my husband without running out of breath as my older shih tzu does. please feel free to contact me if you feel that I could give a loving home to one of your babies. sincerely, Beth Ott

Hi Amy, I bought a black male poodle from you back in 2-4-2004. The best dog I've ever owned and will continue to own in the future. Your standard poodles at least for mine are the best ever. No problems with him since the day I broght him home. The best temperament ever and smarter than most humans. His name is Leo Monlite Catalace and I'm sure you still remember him. Thank You for being a great breeder!!!!!!!! He continues to be my life.

Males and females when spayed/neutered are one in the same, most males are more attentive than females but every dog is different and I know some very loving girls that came from O'Kaylyn Farms and I am sure their owners will tell you the same. Alot has to do in the way you raise them-the more time you put into your dog the more you will get out of him or her. Feel free to post in the forum and let the OKF dog owners give you their opinions too. thanks!

I just wanted to let you know how impressed I am with your Farm and with the website. I have been looking at many email sites. We have a 6 yr old toy poodle named Taylor and I was hoping to give him a brother next year after getting married and moving into our house. I was truly touched and am still sitting here crying over your tribute to your baby Trevor. You are in my prayers. I can see the love you have for your babies and I will definitely keep you in mind when we are able to buy Mason ( he already has a name). Please feel free to contact me, it may take me a few days to respond but rest assured, I will. Thank you!

Hello, My name is Chris,
I have always liked the standard poodles, now I am thinking about getting another dog. I have a german shepard, his name is Max and he is very shy, he doesn't fit the shepard reputation. I thought another big friendly dog would help him get over his backwardness. He(Max) is 3 years old. I also have a 12 year old son and 18 year old daughter. I would be looking to get a new puppy in the new year, after the holidays so I (and the kids) could have time to spend getting to know and love each other.

Mere words cannot tell you how much fun I am having with Tula. She is 7 months old and the sweetest, smartest, and MOST BEAUTIFUL dog in the world! I cannot go anywhere without people raving about her.
She is my first dog of my life(at 42!) and my vet always says I could not have made a better choice. I just want to THANK YOU AMY! You were so helpful when I first got her and all of your poodle wisdom helped immensely! Best regards, Linda

Just want to say how much I enjoyed looking at your beautiful puppies. I also have a Standard Poodle, Sassy. She is white and wonderful. She was a challenge in the beginning as I am 77 years of age. I got her at 6 weeks. She is now 13 months old, has been to Obedience School, has a wonderful friend that walks her twice a week for me and on Friday she has a "play date" with my friend's five dogs, (all different breeds and sizes) 6 cats and pigmy goats. She has a large farm and Sassy just loves her day with her friends. She sleeps on my bed every night, has full run of the house, and loves to run and play ball in our large back, fenced yard. I really enjoyed the pictures. Keep up the good work.

I am currently researching dogs, as I plan to get a dog soon. It will not be my first dog, however I want it to be the 'just right' dog. So far my list includes the standard poodle. I had a little half standard/half miniature poodle when I was a kid (he was the size of the miniature, with the heart of the standard, I rescued him from the humane society). I am looking for a large dog, because it will partly be for 'protection'. I am also looking for a dog that would do well indoors and outdoors as it would be in both places, a dog that wouldn't mind traveling sometimes and would be highly trainable. And a very important thing to me would be that the dog would have to get along with other animals, namely cats, nonpedigree dogs, birds, and horses. I have all these species already and I have no intention of putting them in any sort of chance/danger. We had a stray dog show up that we tried to give a home once and it murdered three of our beloved cats. I don't knowingly put animals in my ca
